Kingston – The mayor’s plan to generate funds for the city from a lottery sends youths the message that they can live life through gambling and speaks to a failed economy, two ministers of religion have said.

Barbados was completely spared the “affections” of Tropical Storm Emily, now a category 1 hurricane in the Caribbean Sea. By midnight last night Emily had gained hurricane strength and was directly impacting Tobago and Grenada. I await damage assessments but I am not expecting the sort of destruction as what Ivan did.

In response to the horrific bombing attacks in London, we at the World Evangelical Alliance extend our deep sympathy to the British people, in particular those directly impacted by these acts of violence.In addition, we call on our network of 3 million churches to pray for those affected by this tragedy.
