A Pakistani Christian Airhostess dies in Plane Crash

ISLAMABAD, PAKISTAN (ANS) -- Two Americans, one Austrian

and a Pakistani Christian airhostess, identified as Naheed Bhatti, 27,

were among the dead on (Wednesday, July 28, 2010),

when an Airblue Airbus-320 plane crashed

near to Benazir Bhutto International Airport, Islamabad, Pakistan.

There were no survivors amongst the 152 persons onboard, including 146 passengers and six crewmembers, when the plane, flying from Karachi to Islamabad, crashed during bad weather into the Margalla Hills at 9:49 a.m. today.

It was Pakistan's worst plane crash.

Rescue operations were severely hindered because of the rainy weather and the location of the crash -- on top of one of the cliffs of Damn-e-Koh in the Margalla Hills -- which was highly inaccessible to rescue teams.

British Government may give green light to atheist schools

LONDON, UK (ANS) -- Plans to set up atheist schools in the United Kingdom could soon be given the green light by the British government.

London's Premier Radio reports that Education Secretary Michael Gove says he is open to the idea as part of reforms to his department.

Vacation Bible Schools on the Mission Field

SOUTH ASIA (ANS) -- In a small Asian border town,

a team of staff and students from a local Bible college

conducted a Vacation Bible School in a local believer's home.

The children were so happy that team brought VBS to them.

The VBS kicked off with prayer and singing.

Students who already attended Sunday School

 were singing along as they learned actions to go with the music.

 

A group of happy children learning action songs during Vacation Bible School.

The 40 children had so much fun, that they invited the team to come back every Sunday.

Rooftop VBS

In another village, Vacation Bible School was being held on the roof of Edhas' house. Edhas is a GFA-supported missionary. A Vacation Bible School team taught the children action songs, skits and stories. In addition students preformed songs and stories. About 30 children attended .They promised to come to Sunday school every Sunday so they can learn more about Jesus.

Gospel singer Joan Myers billed to perform at festival

 

New York: Jamaica & Haiti will be the focus during the inaugural Digicel New York Jerk & Yam Festival, when during the Caribbean Gospel Prayer Brunch local clergy will lead the patrons in prayer for both nations their rebirth and rebuilding. The decision was made to rename to brunch to indicate the inclusion of Haiti and other islands.

Now 63, Daily has seen many changes in Christian broadcasting over the years.
